DURHAM – The Oyster River Cooperative School District is pleased to announce that Oyster River High School Nurse Kim Wolph has been named the 2023 New Hampshire Healthcare Hero for the Seacoast Region.
The New Hampshire Healthcare Heroes program started in 2020 in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic to honor the expertise and dedication of care providers who play critical roles in their communities.
The New Hampshire Healthcare Heroes board of volunteers reviews nominations and selects one winner and two runners-up for seven regions in the state.
“It is humbling to even be nominated for this award, knowing that countless healthcare workers provide high-quality care across the state,” Wolph said. “This is truly an honor and team award, because of the teamwork of our exceptional staff and the support we receive at the District level.”
Director of Student Services Catherine Plourde said: “When I hired Kim in 2016, it took me about six seconds to see how well she would complement our nursing team. She’s a go-to resource for our students and our staff, and is highly regarded because of her leadership, care, empathy, reliability, and initiative. Kim makes a lasting impact on those she meets and is a true Healthcare Hero.”
