MERRIMAC – The Town of Merrimac welcomes all residents and community stakeholders to share their future visions of Merrimac during its Master Plan update.

Master Plans provide guidance for public policy and decision-making in areas including land use, economic development, housing, services and facilities, and natural resources. The Master Plan process allows for extensive public input about priorities and community goals, and identifying strategies to achieve those goals.

This effort will kick off with a community meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 7-9 p.m. in Town Hall.

Barrett Planning Group, LLC, the town’s consultants, will present an overview of the components of Master Plans, how they assist in local decision-making, and what to expect from the planning process.

Participants will engage in brainstorming activities to identify local priorities and values, creating an initial vision for Merrimac in 10 to 15 years.

Merrimac residents with questions or comments are asked to contact Alyssa Sexton at asexton@townofmerrimac.com.
