WHEN:

Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 6-8 p.m.

WHERE:

Bespoke Events, 8 Michaels Mall, Winthrop.

WHAT:

The Winthrop Health Department will host a community engagement event in partnership with Winthrop CASA, a non-profit dedicated to implementing positive youth development programs and bolstering protective factors to reduce the development of risky behaviors in youth.

The event is designed to mobilize the community to provide feedback on experiences, barriers and successes related to mental health, substance misuse and domestic violence in both adults and youth in the community. Food and refreshments will be provided.

“Mental health is core to our individual and collective well-being, and we want our community to actively participate in our work to support mental health needs,” Hurley said. “This event is an opportunity to do just that by providing feedback that will help us develop a clearer picture of how we can best support Winthrop residents’ mental health.”

Input from community members provide at the event, along with help from recent funding opportunities, will allow the health department to tailor interventions and overall improve its services.

Those with questions regarding the event should call 617-539-5837.
