*MEDIA ADVISORY* Norwood Fire Department to Hold First Responder Parade to Show Support for Norwood Hospital Staff

NORWOOD — Chief George Morrice is pleased to announce that the Norwood Fire Department will be among several first responder agencies throughout the region paying a special visit to Norwood Hospital next week to show their appreciation to the hospital’s employees.

NORWOOD — Chief George Morrice is pleased to announce that the Norwood Fire Department will be among several first responder agencies throughout the region paying a special visit to Norwood Hospital next week to show their appreciation to the hospital’s employees.

Tuesday, April 28 at 3:15 p.m.

WHERE:

Norwood Hospital, 800 Washington St.

WHAT:

Norwood Fire will be among several fire, police, EMS and EMA departments and organizations throughout the region participating in the event.

First responders will be driving emergency vehicles past the hospital, waving and saying thank you to show their support for all healthcare workers. 

“Healthcare staff always work hard to take care of our communities and they have been working tirelessly since the beginning of this pandemic,” Chief Morrice said. “Showing our support and honoring their hard work through this event is one way for us to express how grateful and appreciative we are for their continuous commitment to our communities. We hope our neighboring departments will join us on Tuesday to thank them.”

Those taking part in the parade will meet at Norwood Senior High School beforehand at 2:30 and will proceed to Norwood Hospital. Leaving the high school, the route will be: left on Nichols Street, right on Winter Street, right on Washington Street to pass the front of Norwood Hospital, left on East Hoyle Street and left into the Emergency Room entrance.
