Dedham Police Investigating Robbery

DEDHAM — Chief Michael J. d’Entremont reports that the Dedham Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred in a commercial building on Wednesday morning.

Dedham Police were called to 30 Eastbrook Road, an office building near the Dedham Mall, at 9:05 a.m. Upon arrival, officers were met by a 69-year-old man who said that he was robbed by another male as he stepped into an elevator in the building.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6’3″ tall, weighing about 220 lbs. He was wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt and fled on foot toward Washington Street with the victim’s wallet.

The incident is being actively investigated by the Dedham Police Department. Anyone with any information, or who may have seen something suspicious in the area this morning, is urged to call Det. Deborah Gonski at 781-751-9300.
