LAWRENCE — The Psychological Center, Inc. (TPC) is pleased to announce that they received a generous $2,000 donation along with numerous boxes of supplies from CoreMedical Group/CoreInformation Technology last week.

On Friday, June 3, employees from CoreMedical Group/CoreInformation Technology of Salem, N.H., donated a check for $2,000 and several boxes filled with paper goods, clothing and personal care items.

“When businesses like Core Medical engage their staff to help support the needs of women in recovery at Pegasus House and Women’s View, plus our other programs, Daybreak Shelter and Safe Haven, there is an immense feeling of gratitude from our residents,” said Carina Pappalardo, CEO of The Psychological Center. “The impact is not just for the moment, but for their future. I am very honored to be a part of helping change their future with our dedicated, educated and experienced staff.”

The donated items, which were mainly personal hygiene products and items needed to run each facility, will support the women in recovery at TPC’s treatment programs — Pegasus House and Women’s View — as well as the guests at Daybreak Shelter and the residents at Safe Haven.

“The Core family of companies was founded with an intrinsic principle of community. Our mission statement – developed by our employees without the assistance of management – includes the idea of giving back to people in the country, in our state, and within our own community. I think, however, that we do not get a greater sense of gratification than when we direct our efforts towards helping those within our own community,” said Armand L. Circharo Jr., CEO of CoreMedical Group/CoreInformation Technology. “We are pleased and proud that our employees chose to focus their goodwill towards The Psychological Center. Their services of providing support for those in need of housing, help with substance abuse, mental health, and homelessness hits exactly the areas of greatest need right here in our community. We hope that our support can help to make the lives of those in need just a little bit better through the services of such an awesome organization as The Psychological Center.”

To raise money for the donation, employees at CoreMedical Group/CoreInformation Technology made contributions which were matched dollar for dollar by the company. The money donated will be used to benefit mental health and recovery programs, as well as site improvements at both Women’s View and Pegasus House.

Currently, The Psychological Center provides mental health and recovery services through its four programs: Daybreak Shelter, Pegasus House, Women’s View and Safe Haven. All money and supplies donated to the organization benefits these programs.

Anyone who is interested in donating to The Psychological Center can do so here.
