**UPDATE** Saugus Police Find Mising Vehicle, Still Seeking Carjacking Suspect Who Attacked 90-Year-Old Man

Correction: The vehicle was found parked across the street from the Melrose DPW Yard, not inside the yard as previously thought.

UPDATE: Police Find Missing Vehicle

MELROSE — Saugus Police Chief Domenic J. DiMella announces that police found the stolen 2001 brown Ford Focus, license plate MA: 868NHV abandoned early this morning at the Melrose Department of Public Works Yard.

The vehicle was brought to the Saugus Police Department and will be given a full forensic review, which will include dusting for fingerprints.

Additionally, Saugus Police Detectives will be reviewing any surveillance footage from the area around the DPW yard, as well as expanding the radius around the Stop & Shop plaza, where the car was stolen from a 90-year-old grocery shopper yesterday morning.

Saugus Police wish to thank Melrose Police for their assistance today.

Saugus Police will release any pertinent surveillance footage as it becomes available.
