
A Bridgeport, Conn. firefighter is lucky to be alive after he fell from the bucket of his ladder truck on Sunday.
According to FirefighterCloseCalls.com, the firefighter was working a house fire conducting overhaul operations with a hand-held hoseline when he slipped and fell from the bucket of Tower Ladder 5.
He landed in a large tree, 30 feet above the ground, and was miraculously not injured.
Firefighters are supposed to be secured to ladder buckets via straps. The incident is under investigation. The firefighter’s name was not released.
