Michelle Kreuzer Hired as New King Philip Regional Middle School Principal

NORFOLK — Superintendent Paul Zinni is pleased to announce that Michelle Kreuzer has been hired as King Philip Regional Middle School’s new principal.

Kreuzer began in her role on July 15 and is busy getting ready for the upcoming school year.

For the past 17 years, Kreuzer has worked at the Milton Public Schools. In that time, she served as a high school mathematics teacher, department head, vice principal and K-12 curriculum director.

In Milton, Kreuzer worked toward providing equitable opportunities and experiences for children in mathematics, particularly at the middle and high school levels.

“I am very excited to have this opportunity to work in the King Philip school district,” Kreuzer said. “I was attracted to the district because of the accomplishments of the students and staff, their student-focused mission and their commitment to excellence.

I am particularly looking forward to getting to know the middle school students and their families and I am excited to learn about them and with them in a healthy, happy and safe environment.”

Kreuzer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from SUNY Albany, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics & Secondary Education from Rhode Island College and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University. She is currently working on her dissertation for her nearly completed doctoral program at Northeastern University.

“We are pleased to welcome Michelle to the district,” Superintendent Zinni said. “Her experience will be an excellent addition to our district and we are confident she will be a wonderful leader for our middle school students, teachers and staff.”

Kreuzer replaces Dr. Susan Gilson who last year served as both the middle school principal and the district’s assistant superintendent. Dr. Gilson will now serve full-time as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
