BEDFORD — Chief John Fisher reports that the Bedford Police Department responded to a crash that left a pedestrian with serious injuries early Sunday morning.
On Sunday, Sept. 7, at approximately 6:06 a.m., Bedford Police responded to the intersection of South Road and Loomis Street for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.
When they arrived, officers found a male pedestrian suffering from serious injuries. He was transported by a Bedford Fire Department ambulance to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has cooperated with investigators.
The crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Bedford Police Detective Division.
