Maynard Police Arrest Man on Multiple Charges Following Domestic Incident 

MAYNARD — Chief Christopher Troiano reports that the Maynard Police Department arrested a man on multiple charges following a domestic incident on Sunday night. 

WILLIAM BUSTER, AGE 25, of MAYNARD, was arrested and charged with the following:  

  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon 
  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon 
  • Motor Vehicle Malicious Damage to 266 28A 
  • Breaking and Entering into a Building in the Nighttime 
  • Assault and Battery on Family/Household Member (Two Counts)  
  • Malicious Destruction of Property over $1,200 
  • Threat to Commit a Crime 
  • Disorderly Conduct (Subsequent Offense) 

On Sunday, May 18, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Maynard Police received reports of an individual who was breaking into an apartment at Dawn Road. During the initial call, another call was made to the police for reports of a fight at the apartment building on Dawn Road. 

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated that the individual, identified as BUSTER, broke into the apartment on Dawn Road and proceeded to break multiple items in the home. It was reported that BUSTER also smashed the reporting party’s car windshield with a vacuum and fled the scene.  

BUSTER is known to the reporting party. He was described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. He was said to have brown hair and facial hair. 

The Maynard Police Drone Unit was utilized to assist in locating BUSTER. While operating the drone, officers located a thermal image of something next to the fence outside the apartment complex. Officers approached the area that was being surveilled via drone and located BUSTER.

BUSTER was arrested without incident. Officers learned that BUSTER had ingested a large amount of non-lethal medication and had him transported to an area hospital out of an abundance of caution.

BUSTER was arraigned in Concord District Court on Monday. A dangerousness hearing was also scheduled.  

“This was great work by our officers and our drone unit in locating a dangerous individual,” said Chief Troiano.
