Second Pentucket Hall of Fame Class to be Inducted on Sept. 25

The Pentucket Hall of Fame Committee invites alumni, families, friends, and community members to the second annual Pentucket Regional High School Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sept. 25.

The Hall of Fame, established in 2025, honors students, faculty, and employees who embody commitment and service, Pentucket’s core values, and impact on the school community — the very best of the Pentucket way. The Nominating Committee reviews nominees and selects 10 inductees.

The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Pentucket Middle High School Auditorium. Inductees also will be recognized at the Pentucket-Winthrop football game, which begins at 7 p.m.

The Class of 2026 includes educators, coaches, artists, athletes, innovators, and community leaders:

• Evelyn M. Shanahan (Posthumously) — Beloved educator and school leader who devoted 45 years to shaping education in the Pentucket district.
• Bill Martin (Posthumously) — Distinguished English teacher, guidance director, and championship coach whose leadership impacted generations of students and athletes.
• Ellen Burke — Visionary fine arts educator who transformed Pentucket’s Fine and Performing Arts program into one of the region’s finest.
• Mary K. Gaffney (Posthumously) — Dedicated educator, theater director, mentor, and community leader whose influence extended far beyond the classroom.
• Dr. Richard Gabriel — Class of 1967; internationally recognized computer scientist, technology innovator, and leader in modern programming language design.
• Kristin Naili (Guerrette) — Class of 1993; legendary softball player and one of the greatest female athletes in Pentucket history.
• Zach Field — Class of 1996; accomplished music educator, entrepreneur, and founder of the ZFDM Music Foundation.
• Channing Cooke — Class of 2009; professional dancer, choreographer, and nationally recognized instructor.
• Tommy Beaton — Class of 2010; standout three-sport athlete and successful football coach.
• 1977 Pentucket Wrestling Team — The first team in Pentucket Regional High School history to capture a state championship.
