Altravesta Elementary School Students Visited by Local Author

WOBURN — With wide eyes and eager ears, second-grade students at Altravesta Elementary School sat enthralled by local author Anthony Frate as he took them on an imaginative adventure through his children’s book, “The Sugar Surge.”

Frate, better known to his younger readers as “O.G. Dude,” made a guest appearance at Altravesta Elementary on June 24, which allowed students to interact with Frate and experience storytelling beyond the pages of his book.

“The Sugar Surge” is part of Frate’s 10-book series “Journey To The Inside of Me: A Bubbles Tale Collection.” The series takes young readers on light-hearted adventures inside the human body, with each book focusing on a different body part. These books are designed for children ages 3-8, and tie real science with storytelling to teach children about how their bodies function.

Frate entertained Altravesta students through an engaging read-aloud, encouraging smiles and laughter, all while developing meaningful conversation.
