Preparation Underway for Blackstone’s Upcoming Semiquincentennial Celebration in Honor of Nation’s 250th Birthday; Carnival Details Set

The Town of Blackstone is celebrating America turning 250 years old with a huge Semiquincentennial Celebration July 23-26, featuring a massive fireworks display, vendor fair, 5K race and full carnival.

BLACKSTONE — The Town of Blackstone is celebrating America turning 250 years old with a huge Semiquincentennial Celebration July 23-26, featuring a massive fireworks display, vendor fair, 5K race and full carnival.

Carnival organizers have announced a partnership with Fiesta Shows to bring a full-scale four-day Carnival to town.

WHERE: Blackstone-Millville High School grounds

The Blackstone’s 250th Semiquincentennial Celebration will primarily take place at a centralized location, Blackstone-Millville High School. It’s a rain or shine event. Food trucks will be positioned outside, but there will be an indoor location for vendors. 

Carnival Schedule & Unlimited Ride Wristbands
Carnival-goers can maximize their fun with daily Unlimited Ride Wristbands. Bands can be purchased during the hours specified below, to ride as many times as their hearts desire.

Thursday Carnival Hours: 6-10 p.m.

Wristband Special: 6-10 p.m.

$30 (online) / $35 (on-site)

Friday Carnival Hours: 6-11 p.m.

Wristband Special: 6-11 p.m.

$40 (online) / $45 (on-site)

Saturday Carnival Hours: Noon to 11 p.m.

Wristband Special: Noon to 11 p.m.

$40 (online) / $45 (on-site)

Sunday Carnival Hours: Noon to 5 p.m.

Wristband Special: Noon to 5 p.m.

$30 (online) / $35 (on-site)

Fiesta Shows are packing the midway with rides tailored for all ages and comfort levels. The following rides are scheduled to appear at the Blackstone’s 250th Semiquincentennial Celebration Carnival: The Expo Wheel, The Zipper, Pirates Revenge and The Traditional Carousel.

The Carnival is just the beginning of the 250th Anniversary excitement. Make a full weekend out of it and enjoy everything happening around the carnival grounds, including live music from local rock bands and acoustic sets, each afternoon and evening.

A Beer Tent will be hosted by the PACC, giving Celebration-goers the chance to unwind with a cold brew, catch up with neighbors, and soak in the lively festival atmosphere.

A Semiquincentennial 5K Road Race will kick off from Blackstone-Millville Regional High School at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 25. And Saturday Night Fireworks have been planned for later that evening, as the crown jewel of the anniversary weekend. Grab a spot on the grass, get some fried Oreos, and watch the sky illuminate just after sunset in celebration of America’s 250 historic years.
