MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — Chief Todd Fitzgerald is proud to announce that the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department has been awarded the FBI-LEEDA Agency Trilogy Award.
FBI-LEEDA is the Law Enforcement Executive Development Association, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.
The award recognizes the dedication and accomplishment of the department’s command staff who completed the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Course. The comprehensive leadership training consists of 120 hours (three weeks) in one-week separate phases: Supervisor, Command and Executive.
Completing this training ensures that the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department upholds the highest standards of law enforcement leadership. Residents can expect a department that is well-prepared, highly trained and committed to maintaining public safety.
The FBI-LEEDA organization created a uniform national standard for law enforcement leadership training, which is highly respected in the field. The skills and knowledge gained by the command staff will benefit the community by enhancing the department’s leadership capabilities, promoting effective policing strategies, and fostering a safer environment for all residents.
“This achievement highlights our department’s ongoing commitment to excellence and continuous improvement,” said Chief Fitzgerald. “Our command staff’s dedication to professional development strengthens not only our agency, but also the service we provide to the residents of Manchester-by-the-Sea.”
