L.E.A.D. Fest Carnival Comes to Hackensack, New Jersey, June 4–14; Proceeds from Rides, Games and Food Go to Drug & Violence Prevention

Families looking for thrills, treats and a good cause will find all three when the L.E.A.D. Fest Carnival arrives in Hackensack starting on Thursday, June 4.

HACKENSACK, N.J. — Families looking for thrills, treats and a good cause will find all three when the L.E.A.D. Fest Carnival arrives in Hackensack starting on Thursday, June 4.

Featuring rides, games, food and more, the L.E.A.D. Fest Carnival will be held at 2 University Plaza Drive. The event brings family-friendly entertainment to the community from Thursday, June 4, through Sunday, June 14.

The Hackensack L.E.A.D. Fest Carnival will be open from 5 to 11 p.m. from Monday through Friday; and 3 to 11 p.m. on Saturday through Sunday. After 8 p.m., all minors must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older.

Carnival admission is $5.

No backpacks are allowed into the carnival; and no face coverings are allowed (religious exemptions provided). Children must be 36 inches tall to go on most of the rides.

Proceeds from the carnival will benefit L.E.A.D. and its drug and violence prevention mission, including school-based prevention education programs taught by law enforcement officers in Hackensack.

L.E.A.D. offers an evidence-based drug and violence prevention program that uses fun and interactive lessons to help young people build confidence and make healthy life choices. The program is built on the Botvin LifeSkills® Training curriculum, through which students learn goal-setting, responsible decision-making and emotional management skills.
