Attleboro Police Seek Charges Against Three Juveniles Following Report of Masked Individuals Looking Into Vehicles

ATTLEBORO — Attleboro Police are seeking charges against three juveniles who fled from officers responding to a report of masked individuals looking inside vehicles Wednesday night.

Three male juveniles, ages 14, 14 and 17, all of Attleboro, will be summonsed to Attleboro Juvenile Court on charges of:

  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Disturbing the Peace

On Wednesday, Oct. 21, at approximately 10:54 p.m., officers responded to East Side Park and Pool on Parker Street after a caller reported seeing three teenagers wearing ski masks and looking inside vehicles.

Officers searched the area and saw three individuals run behind a home on Carpenter Street. Officers then located them behind a home on Parker Street and identified themselves as police.

The juveniles continued to flee through nearby residential properties. Officers caught up with all three and detained them. One juvenile climbed over a fence and allegedly shoved an officer as the officer attempted to stop him. Another was found lying down and hiding beside a vehicle in a driveway.

The Attleboro Fire Department responded to evaluate minor injuries. An officer also sustained scrapes and abrasions to his hand while taking one of the suspects into custody.

The juveniles were released to family members and will each be issued a summons to appear in Attleboro Juvenile Court at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who discovers their vehicle has been entered should contact the department at 508-222-1212.

Attleboro Police remind residents to lock their vehicles, remove valuables and promptly report suspicious activity.

These are allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
