Stow Police Respond to Serious Crash Involving a Vehicle and Bicyclist

STOW –- Police Chief Michael Sallese reports that the Stow Police Department responded Monday afternoon to a serious crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist. 

On Monday, May 4, at 5:11 p.m., the Stow Police and Fire Departments received multiple 911 calls reporting a collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist in the area of Sudbury and State roads. 

Stow Police arrived at the scene and located a bicyclist with serious injuries. Officers and firefighters immediately began lifesaving measures. 

The bicyclist was then transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester by a LifeFlight helicopter in serious condition. 

Stow Police requested assistance from the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction Team, which is investigating the crash. 

The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
