WOBURN – Principal Matthew Comenitz is delighted to share that Reeves Elementary School will once again be participating in a kindness challenge throughout February, in partnership with Connor’s Kindness Project.
In celebration of Kindness Month – which occurs in February – Reeves Elementary School is partnering with Connor’s Kindness Project to take the Pledge and become part of the Kids Kindness Club. In 2023 alone, the Kids Kindness Club had 9,800 participating students who completed 196,000 acts of kindness.
The school will also participate in a two-month long kindness challenge to spread positivity throughout the community, one act of kindness at a time.
In collaboration with CKP, Reeves has adapted their Kindness Challenge to best fit the school community. Students will have two months to try and complete all challenges. When they do, they will receive a Kindness Certificate and add their name to the school’s Kindness Wall of Fame, located in the front entrance.
Students kicked off the kindness challenge during an assembly on Wednesday, Jan. 31. CKP Co-Founder Sharon Marrama led students through a slides presentation where students got to meet Founder Connor Wright through a video. Marrama then explained the Connor’s Kindness Project, reviewed the definition of kindness and helped students take the Kindness Pledge.
During National Kindness Week, Feb. 11-17, Reeves will be giving daily kindness tasks over the loudspeaker for students to try and complete before the end of each day.
About Connor’s Kindness Project
The Connor’s Kindness Project was founded during the COVID-19 Pandemic by Connor Wright of Lynnfield, when he was only 12 years old. Wright and his nana, Sharon Marrama, started creating COVID Care Packages filled with activities and comfort items and delivered them to children in their community that were sick or in isolation. The organization has since evolved into a non-profit that works to spread kindness and help kids in need.
