Westborough Fire Department Encourages Residents to Sign Up for Community Connect 

WESTBOROUGH – Chief Patrick Purcell is pleased to announce that the Westborough Fire Department is now utilizing Community Connect, a software platform that allows residents to share critical information about their households with first responders. 

Community Connect is a free, easy-to-use, and secure platform that allows residents to share critical information about their households that will aid first responders when responding to an emergency.

The Westborough Fire Department encourages residents to sign up and create an account using their email, phone number, and address. 

Once a Community Connect profile is created, first responders can access it while on their way to an emergency call, saving valuable time once they arrive on scene.

Residents can add a variety of details to their profile including unique features about their property, information on family members or best emergency contacts, notes on mobility or other types of functional needs, as well as information and photos of household pets.

Any information provided through Community Connect is completely voluntary and is only used to better serve community members during emergency situations. Community Connect uses bank-level encryption and security to ensure that all information provided is protected.

“We are excited to begin using Community Connect, as it will allow the department to better serve our community and keep our residents safe,” said Chief Purcell. “By providing information about your household that you feel is important for us to know, we can ensure you and everything you care about is protected to the best of our ability during an emergency. We encourage all residents to create an account and add in their information.”
