WHITMAN — Superintendent Jeffrey Szymaniak and the Whitman-Hanson Regional School District would like to extend their gratitude to two local businesses for their generous donations recently.

Late last month, the Whitman Stop & Shop donated $1,000 worth of gift cards to the district, and the Hanson Rod and Gun Club presented Superintendent Szymaniak with a donation of $5,000.

The donations will be used to help families in need within the school district.

“We are extremely grateful to our community and these local organizations for their extremely generous donations, which will help families within our district,” Superintendent Szymaniak said. “The COVID-19 pandemic has created financial hardships for many families within our district and the donations we received from our local Stop & Shop and the Hanson Rod and Gun Club will be extremely helpful to these families. We thank each of them for their continued support.”
