RAYNHAM — Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita reports that the Raynham Fire Department responded to and extinguished a working structure fire on Mowry Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Raynham Fire crews responded to a single-family home at 8 Mowry St., at 1:05 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, after receiving a 911 call reporting a house fire.

Upon arrival, flames were showing from the home’s attic. The residents cleared their home and were waiting outside when fire trucks arrived.

“The fire was knocked down pretty quickly by the first arriving companies,” said Chief LaCivita. “The home sustained significant damage, but everybody made it out safely.”

No injuries were reported.

The following neighboring fire departments provided mutual aid at the scene: West Bridgewater, Bridgewater, Taunton and Easton. Brewster Ambulance responded to the scene and Middleborough Fire Department covered the station. Raynham Police also assisted at the scene.

Raynham Fire crews cleared the scene about 3 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates the fire origin was likely electrical in nature. Raynham Fire and Raynham Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
