“We are so excited to participate in this nationwide initiative to strengthen our relationship with Norfolk residents and the local churches who serve our community,” said Chief Heinz.

About Faith & Blue

The Faith & Blue initiative is based on the premise that strong communities are built through mutual respect and understanding. Law enforcement and faith institutions are key pillars of each community, and when they work together, neighborhoods thrive. Faith & Blue weekend was nationally recognized Oct. 4-9, with four days of locally organized community-officer engagement as part of the nation’s largest annual collaborative policing initiative.
