Town of East Bridgewater Seeking Public Comments on Proposed Traffic Improvements

The East Bridgewater Select Board is seeking public comments regarding proposed traffic improvements in town.

EAST BRIDGEWATER — The East Bridgewater Select Board is seeking public comments regarding proposed traffic improvements in town.

Three proposed traffic improvements will be discussed at the July 17 Select Board meeting. They are:

  • To replace the red/yellow blinking light at the corner of Union Street and Central Street with a four-way stop sign;
  • To install a guardrail on the northeast corner of the intersection of Bridge Street and Plymouth Street; and
  • To install a type of structure along the shoulder of Pond Street at 575 Pond St., which would both prevent motorists from driving onto private property and provide pedestrians with safe access to walk along the road.

Any resident who wishes to submit a question, comment or other feedback on any of the proposed changes prior to the July 17 meeting can email rjohnson@eastbridgewaterma.gov or call the Select Board Office at 508-378-1601.

Residents are also able to attend the July 17 Select Board meeting and speak during the Public Forum portion of the meeting. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Select Board’s conference room on the first floor of the East Bridgewater Town Hall, 175 Central St.
