The Psychological Center, Inc. Receives $24,000 Grant from the Women’s Fund of Essex County

LAWRENCE — Chief Executive Officer Carina Pappalardo is pleased to share that The Psychological Center, Inc., received a three-year, $24,000 grant from the Women’s Fund of Essex County. 

The Women’s Fund of Essex County raises funds specifically to award grants to non-profit organizations focused on gender-specific programs and services for at-risk women and girls and those who identify as women and girls of Essex County.

The grant funding provided to the Psychological Center will fund the Continuing a Journey to Resiliency Through Trauma-Informed Care Program at Pegasus House and Women’s View, which serve women suffering from substance use disorder as they seek to rebuild their lives.

The Journey to Resiliency Through Trauma-Informed Care Program provides trauma-informed care and services to residents of Pegasus House and Women’s View. 

“We are extremely grateful for this grant award, which will help us continue to offer trauma-informed care to our guests at Pegasus House and Women’s View,” said CEO Pappalardo. “Serving and supporting women with trauma in a safe environment is vital to a successful recovery.”

The Women’s Fund of Essex County raises funds specifically to award grants to non-profit organizations focused on gender-specific programs and services for at-risk women and girls and those who identify as women and girls of Essex County. Grants are awarded annually to results-oriented organizations that have demonstrated success in positively impacting the lives of women and girls, addressing issues of systemic inequality. Since 2003, The Women’s Fund has donated more than $3 million to Essex County organizations offering gender-specific programs for women and girls.
