Randolph-Avon-Canton Rotary Club to Host Earth Day Fundraiser Saturday

The Randolph-Avon-Canton (RAC) Rotary Club invite community members to its 2023 Earth Day Fundraiser tomorrow.

CANTON — The Randolph-Avon-Canton (RAC) Rotary Club invite community members to its 2023 Earth Day Fundraiser tomorrow.

Saturday, April 22, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

WHERE: 

490 Turnpike St., Canton 

WHAT: 

The RAC Rotary Club is hosting an Earth Day Fundraiser to support various local causes.

The fundraising event is an eWaste and paper-shredding recycling day. Community members are invited to recycle their eWaste at the event, including items like old cords and wires, CRT computer monitors, microwaves and coffee makers, radios, printers, cellphones, VCR/CD/DVD/Blu-ray players, gaming devices and more. Community members are also able to bring papers and documents for shredding. 

Additional accepted items and associated recycling fees can be found on the event flyer. Cash payment is preferred.

Each year RAC Rotarians raise thousands of dollars for various civic and humanitarian projects, local student scholarships, local food pantries, and community programs. The RAC Rotary Club hopes to raise at least $7,000 this April to support the following causes: 

  • The Friendly Food Pantry in Randolph
  • Avon Baptist Church Food Pantry  
  • College scholarships for local high school students
  • Father Bill’s & MainSpring (homelessness prevention and shelter services) 
  • Rotary International Polio Plus Foundation (elimination of Polio worldwide)
