Dog Licensing to Also Be Offered at Event

EAST BRIDGEWATER — The Town of East Bridgewater and the East Bridgewater Board of Health would like to announce a rabies clinic for pet owners in town later this month.

On Monday, June 21 from 5-7 p.m., the Board of Health will host the outdoor clinic at Sachem Rock Farm, 355 Plymouth St.

Cats (in carriers) will be vaccinated from 5-6 p.m., and dogs (on leashes) will be vaccinated from 6-7 p.m. Residents with both animals are encouraged to come near the middle of the event.

The cost is $10 per animal, and cash is preferred.

Bonnie MacArthur, an East Bridgewater veterinarian and resident, is providing this low cost service to the Town.

In order to receive a three-year vaccination for their pet, residents must provide proof of a previous three-year vaccination or proof that a one-year vaccination has not expired. Otherwise pets will receive a one-year certificate.

The East Bridgewater Town Clerk’s office will also be on site for dog licensing. Dog licensing will be available on the front deck from 6-7 p.m.

Spayed or neutered dogs will be $10 each and intact dogs will be $15 each. Cash or check will be accepted.
