WHAT:
The virtual event will feature a lecture by Dr. Temple Grandin, a well-known and accomplished scientist and activist with autism. Her fascinating life, including all of its challenges and successes, has been brought to the screen with the HBO full length film, “Temple Grandin,” starring Claire Danes.
Dr. Grandin currently works as a professor of animal science at Colorado State University and speaks around the world about autism and cattle handling.
The title of the lecture is “The Way I See It: A Personal Look at Autism and Asperger’s,” which is also the title of a book written by Dr. Grandin. During the lecture, she will also be talking about her latest book, “The Outdoor Scientist,” which is set to be released on April 6.
Dr. Grandin’s lecture is appropriate for all ages. Visit the Library’s online catalog to place a hold on materials by and about Dr. Grandin, which are also suitable for all ages.
This event is sponsored by the Town of Cohasset Community Services, Cohasset Social Justice League and the Friends of the Cohasset Library.
