PLYMOUTH — Chief G. Edward Bradley is pleased to announce that, as part of the state’s vaccination rollout for first responders, members of the Plymouth Fire Department will receive the COVID-19 vaccine tomorrow, Jan. 21.
Chief Bradley, Deputy Chief Neil Foley and Plymouth firefighters will be available to speak to members of the media during the vaccination event.
WHEN:

Please note that the date and time are tentative and subject to change. Media members will be notified of any changes.
WHERE:
Plymouth Fire Department Headquarters, 114 Sandwich St., Plymouth.
The vaccinations will take place inside the fire station bays and the bay doors will be left open throughout the time people are inside.
Media members are asked to park in the parking lot behind that station at Stephen’s Field or street parking may be available.
WHO:
- Plymouth Fire Chief G. Edward Bradley
- Deputy Fire Chief Neil Foley
- District 1 Vice President of the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts and Plymouth Firefighter James Brown
- Director of the Plymouth Public Health Department Karen Keane
- Plymouth Fire Department personnel
WHAT:
Brewster Ambulance Service, which serves as the Town of Plymouth’s transport ambulance service, will be administering COVID-19 vaccinations to members of Plymouth’s northern fire district.
Media members will be able to record and use footage of the firefighters receiving their vaccines, but due to the nature of a vaccination as a medical procedure, media members are respectfully asked not to air the vaccinations live.
“We are extremely pleased to have received our shipment of COVID-19 vaccinations from the state as they will go a long way in ensuring the safety of our first responders during the ongoing pandemic,” Chief Bradley said. “I would like to thank the Plymouth Firefighters Local 1768, the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts and Director of Plymouth Public Health Karen Keane for their cooperation during this time. Without their cooperation, our vaccination effort wouldn’t have been possible.”
The Plymouth Fire Department will be rolling out vaccination events for all first responders in the community in the coming weeks, including to Plymouth Police officers and dispatch personnel.
Note: All media members planning on attending this event are asked to adhere to social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines at all times while at the fire station during the event.
