Officials Provide Guidance for Prospective Volunteers for Future Local and Regional Clinics
IPSWICH — While COVID-19 vaccinations for the general public will not be available until April at the earliest based on the state’s distribution plan, the Town of Ipswich encourages residents to sign up for Smart911 alerts for the latest updates about the process.
The Town of Ipswich is committed to keeping the public fully apprised of the vaccination process, and will broadcast clearly and in a timely manner any and all updates regarding vaccination distribution in the area over the coming weeks and months.
This information will be shared over the town’s website www.ipswichma.gov, COVID-19 news blog ipswichcovid19.com, Facebook Page @townofipswich, Twitter @TownofIpswich, and by robocall.
The Town of Ipswich uses Smart911 alerts to share important announcements and time-sensitive messages with residents.
Alerts may include notifications about COVID-19 as well as missing persons, criminal activity, extreme weather or other emergency or non-emergency information as deemed necessary by town officials.
Residential landlines in town are already signed up to receive alerts, and residents can sign up for text and email alerts by clicking here.
Volunteer Information
Town officials have no updates regarding possible future COVID-19 clinics in town at this time. If this changes, the Town of Ipswich may work with the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) to support COVID19 vaccination clinics.
The MRC organizes local, regional and statewide volunteer resources to respond to public health initiatives or emergencies across the Commonwealth. Volunteers with and without medical experience are needed to support different aspects of their work, and will supplement existing emergency and public health resources.

- Fill out and sign your CORI/SORI and email it with an image of you holding your driver’s license next to your face to LiisaJackson@mrcvolunteer.org.
