CONCORD — Executive Director Barrett M. Christina is pleased to share a video crafted by the New Hampshire School Boards Association to recognize the efforts of School Boards, districts and communities statewide to support education amid COVID-19.
“The New Hampshire School Boards Association would like to thank very School Board across the state for working diligently to serve the needs of our students,” Executive Director Christina said. “However, we’re not doing that alone. Only collectively and in collaboration, and understanding that everybody is trying to do the best they can, can we continue to work through this challenge.”
The video features speakers including Executive Director Christina; NHSBA Board Member and Allenstown Board Chair Kris Raymond; NSHBA Board Member and Hinsdale School Board Vice Chair Holly Kennedy; and NHSBA Board Member, SAU 29 Board Chair and Chesterfield School Board Chair Ege Cordell. Each speaker shares a personalized note of gratitude in the video to groups who have made major contributions to the reopening of schools this year amid the ongoing pandemic.
“It was just amazing how our teaches and support staff jumped right in, turned on a dime, revamped their curriculum, pulled in different resources and figured out a whole new way of providing instruction,” Kennedy said. “We are so incredibly grateful.”
“I would love to extend just the greatest thank you to the administrators that have literally worked as much as seven days a week since March,” Raymond said. “Their tireless efforts meant a lot of long hours.”
