ACTON — Fire Chief Robert Hart and Police Chief Richard Burrows report that the Acton Fire and Police Departments responded after a man was seriously injured while riding his bike Friday morning.
On Friday, July 31 just after 5:35 a.m., the two departments responded to the area of 18 Ethan Allen Drive for a report of an unconscious man in the roadway. Upon arrival, first responders determined that a 66-year-old man was injured after falling off his bicycle.
The victim was treated at the scene before he was taken by medical helicopter to a local hospital with injuries that are considered to be serious.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Acton Police Department at 978-264-9638.
