Tickets Still Available to Irish American Police Officers Association Annual Holiday Cheer Raffle
BELMONT– The Irish American Police Officers Association (IAPOA) wishes to remind the public that tickets are still available for this year’s Holiday Cheer Raffle.
The drawing will take place on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post 440 at 295 California St., Newton.
Raffle tickets can be purchased for $100 each, and only 300 tickets will be sold. The drawing will feature a $10,000 grand prize, as well as $3,000 in additional cash prizes.
Participants are invited to attend the drawing, where dinner will also be served and a performance will be given by the IAPOA Pipes and Drums. Door prizes will also be awarded at the end of the event.
The Annual Holiday Cheer Raffle is the IAPOA’s primary fundraising source for its Annual Awards Dinner, which honors police officers from throughout the region for their exemplary work and acts of heroism. The awards recognize officers in a variety of categories, including investigations, valor, life-saving actions, community service efforts and humanitarian acts. The IAPOA also awards its Medal of Honor to officers who lost their lives in the line of duty during the preceding year.
Those who would like to support the event or purchase a raffle ticket may do so by emailing IrishAmericanPolice@yahoo.com. Credit cards are accepted as a form of payment. You can learn more about the Association at Irishamericanpolice.org
