Randolph Police: Body of Missing Teen Located

Acting Randolph Police Chief John Hamelburg regrets to report that crews have located a body of a young male, positively identified as 16-year-old Christopher Defreitas, this afternoon. The body of Defreitas was located in the Great Pond Reservoir, about 100 yards from shore.

Defreitas was reported missing on Monday night and had been the subject of an intensive, multi-agency search.

This incident is under investigation by the Randolph Police Department and Norfolk District Attorney’s Office. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
