Arlington Police Respond to Motor Vehicle Crash, Pleasant Street to Reopen After Day-long Closure roadclosure

ARLINGTON — Chief Frederick Ryan reports that the Arlington Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash this morning on Pleasant Street (Route 60) that closed down the entire road for more than eight hours.

Crews expect Pleasant Street to reopen shortly and do not foresee the closure affecting the evening commute.

At approximately 8:20 a.m., police responded to the motor vehicle crash where a Ford truck struck a utility pole, causing damage to the pole and power lines.

Utility crews were dispatched to Pleasant Street to assess the damages and remained on scene throughout the day making repairs to the utility pole and downed wires. All access to Pleasant Street was restricted from Massachusetts Avenue to the Concord Turnpike (Route 2).
