Concord Police Participate in Patriots’ Day Parade

CONCORD — Chief Joseph O’Connor is pleased to announce that the Concord Police Department participated in the 2016 Patriots’ Day Parade this morning.

The event commemorates the fight at the North Bridge in Concord during the American Revolutionary War.

The parade begins at 9 a.m., and the course weaves approximately 2.5 miles throughout town. Participants include Minute Men and Militias, musicians, color guards, dignitaries with a connection to Concord, Massachusetts State Police Officers mounted on horses and representatives from the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Motor Unit.

“We are honored to be a part of this annual celebration that honors American history and Concord’s involvement in the war,” Chief O’Connor said. “It’s truly an amazing experience that pays tribute to this momentous battle.”
