Statement from Police Chief William Shupe Regarding Allegations of Misconduct at Phillips Exeter Academy

EXETER — The following is a statement from Exeter Police Chief William Shupe regarding allegations of misconduct at Phillips Exeter Academy.

“The Exeter Police Department has received information from the Phillips Exeter Academy detailing multiple allegations of misconduct and abuse.

“The Exeter Police Department takes all such allegations very seriously and we are now at the beginning stages of what will be a complete and thorough investigation into each allegation.

“Because these investigations are ongoing and are in their infancy, no additional information is available at this time. However, we encourage anyone with information or concerns to reach out to the Exeter Police Department at 603-772-1212.”
