Newburyport Police to Hold 10th Annual “Fill a Cruiser” Food Drive

NEWBURYPORT — City Marshal Mark Murray and the Newburyport Police Department announce that they will hold the 10th Annual “Fill a Cruiser” food drive on Saturday, Dec. 5. to support the Salvation Army of Newburyport.

Newburyport Police to Hold 10th Annual “Fill a Cruiser” Food Drive

NEWBURYPORT — City Marshal Mark Murray and the Newburyport Police Department announce that they will hold the 10th Annual “Fill a Cruiser” food drive on Saturday, Dec. 5. to support the Salvation Army of Newburyport.

The drive will be held at Shaw’s Supermarket and Market Basket on Storey Avenue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Last year’s food drive was very successful, so we are hoping to fill several police cruisers again this year,” City Marshal Murray said.

The department will accept donations of non-perishable food items, and Shaw’s and Market Basket will also have pre-packaged bags available to purchase for $5-$30. Cash donations will also be accepted.

“The Legends” 1450 WNBP radio will be broadcasting live from the event.
