Berkley Firefighters to Play Berkley Police Officers in Battle of the Badges Charity Softball Game

Berkley Firefighters to Play Berkley Police Officers in Battle of the Badges Charity Softball Game

BERKLEY — Fire Chief Scott Fournier and Police Chief Scott Labonte would like to invite the community to attend the departments’ first charity softball game between firefighters and police officers this month.

WHEN:

Saturday, Sept. 14 at 3 p.m.

WHERE:

Anthony Street Ball Field, 60R Anthony St.

WHAT:

All are welcome to attend the softball game to enjoy some friendly competition between the departments along with food, raffle prizes and a 50/50 raffle. The event is family friendly and free to attend.

“We’re looking forward to our first Battle of the Badges softball game,” Chief Fournier said. “Not only are there bragging rights on the line, but the proceeds will go to support great causes in the community throughout the year.”

Chief Labonte said, “Our departments work as a team in town and we’re looking forward to this game as a way to further that relationship. We hope the community comes out to the game to support both departments.”

All proceeds will go to the different charitable endeavors undertaken by the Berkley Fire and Police Departments throughout the year.
