Tyngsborough Police Seeking Full-Time Dispatcher
TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard D. Howe is pleased to announce that the Tyngsborough Police Department has an opening for a full-time public safety dispatcher.
Civilian public safety dispatchers are responsible for answering and processing all incoming calls for police, EMS, fire, highway and animal control operations using the town’s computer aided dispatch system.
The position is a full-time, union position has a starting salary of $45,381.19 and is eligible for all benefits offered to Town of Tynsborough employees. Applicants should have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, flexibility to work any shift including nights, weekends or holidays, excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.
Certifications in E911, CPR, EMD, LEAPS and experience with IMC are preferred, but not required. A successful applicant will be required to complete a thorough background investigation.
“Dispatchers play an essential role in our efforts to provide thorough, timely public safety services to our community,” Chief Howe said.
