Lynnfield Center Water District and Lynnfield Planning and Conservation Hosting Lush Lawn Workshop

Free Event Will Feature Water Conservation Tips and Key Info on Water in Lynnfield

LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Center Water District, Ipswich River Watershed Association and Lynnfield Planning and Conservation are pleased to invite residents to take part in a multifaceted Lush Lawn Workshop, where they can learn more about their water and the importance of conservation.

WHEN:

Wednesday, May 15, from 7-8 p.m.

WHERE:

Lynnfield Middle School

WHO:

Lynnfield Planning and Conservation

WHAT:

Lynnfield residents are invited to attend this first-of-its-kind workshop, which will highlight several critical areas related to water and conservation in Lynnfield.

Attendees will have an opportunity to learn more about the Lynnfield Center Water District as an organization, including its ongoing transition to a new board and its search for its first new superintendent in more than 30 years.

In addition, leaders from each organization will share more about their group’s roles in the community and address a variety of topics, including how a watershed works, where Lynnfield’s water comes from, ways to conserve — including the critical roles of leak detection and reduced lawn watering — and plans for the future.

“This will be a great way for residents to learn more about all aspects of their water,” Director of Planning and Conservation Emilie Cademartori said. “This workshop should shed some light on several important topics, and it will be an excellent opportunity for residents to ask questions and build a stronger understanding of the water system.”

Cademartori will host the workshop, which will also feature a panel of representatives from the LCWD and the Ipswich River Watershed Association.

Attendees will be automatically entered into a free raffle for a ticket to a Rain Barrel Workshop later this spring, where participants will assemble and take home one free rain barrel.

Anyone who has questions is invited to contact the Lynnfield Planning and Conservation Department at 781-334-9495.
