BLACKSTONE — Chief Kevin Roy and the Blackstone Fire Department are pleased to announce that Blackstone firefighters James Guilmette and James Foster have both been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

The Blackstone Fire Department recently celebrated the promotion of Lt. Guilmette and Lt. Foster at the Blackstone Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

“Lt. James Guilmette has several years of experience in the fire and EMS field and was hired in 2024,” said Chief Roy. “His years of experience and dedication to public safety have helped prepare him for this next step in his career with the Blackstone Fire Department.”

Lt. Foster is a lifelong resident of Blackstone. He was pinned by his daughter, Olivia.
