ACTON — The Acton Fire Department congratulates Firefighters/Paramedics Jake Driscoll and Jeff Hytinen on completing ProEMS Paramedic Training.
The ProEMS Center is a premier training center dedicated to providing experience-based training and education for healthcare and First Responder professionals. The program is a nine-month-long accredited training that also offers certification courses, including American Heart Association courses and National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians courses.
At the conclusion of the program, Driscoll was also given the Student of the Year Award.
Hytinen joined the department on Sept. 8 as a Firefighter/EMT. Driscoll joined the department in March 2025 following his graduation from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy.
“This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment Jake and Jeff have shown throughout their training,” said Chief Anita Arnum. “Becoming a paramedic requires an incredible amount of hard work, and their commitment to advancing their skills will directly benefit the residents we serve. We are proud to have them as members of the Acton Fire Department and are confident that they will continue to make a positive impact in our community.”
