GROVELAND — Superintendent Dr. Justin Bartholomew and Principal James Day are pleased to announce that Amanda Williams has joined Dr. Elmer S. Bagnall School as its new assistant principal.
Williams brings experience as a classroom teacher, math interventionist, and school administrator, having spent her entire career in elementary education. Most recently, she served as assistant principal at Goodyear Elementary School in Woburn.
Throughout her career, Williams has focused on building strong relationships with students, supporting educators, and partnering with families to help students succeed.
“From the moment Amanda visited Bagnall, it was clear that she shares our commitment to putting students first and building strong relationships with families and staff,” said Principal Day. “She brings valuable experience at every level of elementary education, and I know her approachable, student-centered leadership style will make her a great addition to our school community.”
Williams said she looks forward to being a visible presence throughout the school, including greeting students in the morning, visiting classrooms, supporting staff, and helping students work through challenges. She also places a strong emphasis on partnership between schools and families.
“I believe children do their very best when they know they are seen, valued, and supported, and that philosophy has guided me throughout my career,” Williams said. “I’m excited to get to know Bagnall’s students, staff, and families and to become part of a community that so clearly puts children at the center of its work.”
Williams lives nearby in Merrimac with her family and said the opportunity to serve students and families close to home is particularly meaningful.
“Amanda brings the experience, perspective, and genuine care for students that we look for in our school leaders,” said Superintendent Dr. Bartholomew. “She understands that strong schools are built through relationships, collaboration, and trust, and we are excited to welcome her to Bagnall and the Pentucket community.”
Williams said she is eager to work alongside Principal Day, Bagnall staff, students, and families while learning the traditions of the school and contributing to the community.
