EAST PENNSBORO TOWNSHIP — Chief William Diehl and the East Pennsboro Township Police Department bid a bittersweet farewell to Administrative Assistant Denise “Neecee” Sgrignoli after more than four decades of service.
On July 5, Sgrignoli officially retired after starting her career with the Department on May 5, 1986.
“Over the past 40 years, Neecee has witnessed more than 55 East Pennsboro officers swear their oath and serve out their careers with the Department,” said Chief Diehl. “For every sworn officer in this Town, Neecee has been a constant source of support and institutional knowledge. Her contributions have been immeasurable.”
Sgrignoli worked under six Chiefs of Police in East Pennsboro, witnessing tremendous growth and evolution within the department.
The lasting relationships she built with officers, township employees and members of the community rank among her greatest on-the-job accomplishments. Known affectionately by many in the Department as “Neecee,” Sgrignoli has been a familiar, dependable and welcoming presence within the police department for generations of employees.
Her kindness, dedication and willingness to help others has left a lasting impact on the entire Department.
Outside of work, Sgrignoli enjoys crafting and shopping, and said she looks forward to spending her retirement traveling, relaxing at the beach and taking cruises.
“The East Pennsboro Township Police Department sincerely thanks Neecee for her many years of service, dedication and friendship,” said Chief Diehl. “We wish her a long, healthy and well-deserved retirement filled with happiness, relaxation and new adventures.”
