ROCHESTER — Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School is pleased to announce that its Fiscal Year 2027 operating budget has received the approvals necessary for adoption under the district’s regional agreement.
To date, the member towns of Carver, Lakeville, Mattapoisett, and Rochester have voted to approve the FY27 budget. While the Town of Acushnet has rescheduled its Annual Town Meeting to June 29, 2026, the budget has already achieved the level of support required for passage. Under the district’s regional agreement, approval by two-thirds of the member communities is necessary for adoption. With four of the five member towns voting in favor, the FY27 budget has officially passed.
Superintendent-Director Aaron Polansky expressed his appreciation for the collaboration and support demonstrated throughout the budget development process.
“On behalf of the Old Colony School Committee, administration, faculty, staff, and students, I would like to sincerely thank our member towns for their thoughtful participation in this year’s budget planning process and for their continued support of vocational and technical education,” said Polansky. “The approval of this budget reflects a shared commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities for the students and families we serve.”
The FY27 budget is a level-service budget that will allow Old Colony to continue delivering high-quality academic and career technical programs, supporting student success, maintaining essential services, and preparing graduates for post-secondary education, apprenticeships, military service, and employment in high-demand industries.
