Town of Acton to Host Annual Independence Day Celebration

ACTON — The Town of Acton is pleased to announce its annual Independence Day Celebration, taking place on Thursday, July 2, at NARA Park.

This year’s event will mark a special occasion as the community comes together to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with family-friendly activities, live entertainment and patriotic programming.

The event will begin at 4 p.m. with “Family Fun Time,” offering activities for all ages, including swimming, games and inflatables. A live DJ will provide entertainment throughout the evening. Local food vendors will be on-site offering classic summer favorites.

The event’s opening ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m., featuring patriotic recognitions and acknowledgments of local volunteers and supporters. The Acton Minutemen Fife & Drum will be on hand to provide a demonstration and help kick off the festivities.

At 8 p.m., attendees can enjoy a free live concert by The Boss Project, a premier Bruce Springsteen tribute band. The band is known for recreating the energy of Springsteen’s performances and delivering renditions of iconic hits.

The night will conclude with a laser light show presented by Pinnacle Laser Lights, beginning at dusk and running in conjunction with the concert.

Admission to the park, family games, concert and light show is free. Wristbands are required for games, inflatables, and water attractions, and will be available to purchase for $15. Wristbands can be purchased in advance via credit card through Eventbrite or in person at the event.

Free parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at 25 Ledge Rock Way and 71 Quarry Road; designated accessible parking will also be available.

Residents should be aware that outside alcohol is prohibited at the event, and bag checks are likely to occur. NARA Beach will remain open for complimentary swimming until 7:30 p.m., weather permitting.

“I would like to thank the many sponsors and community partners whose support helps make this event and the Town’s summer programming possible,” said Town Manager John S. Mangiaratti. “We’re proud to bring our community together to celebrate our nation’s history every year, but especially as this year marks the 250th anniversary.”
