BILLERICA — The Billerica Police Department announces that it will be launching a new mass notification system in partnership with Regroup.
The new system is expected to launch on July 1. The new platform will deliver urgent updates through phone calls, text messages, emails and more, ensuring fast and reliable communication in critical moments.
In addition to emergency alerts, the system will be used to share important non-emergency updates, such as road closures, public safety information and other time-sensitive community notices.
The Town is no longer using CodeRED. In November 2025, Billerica Police notified the community of a nationwide cyberattack against the OnSolve CodeRED emergency notifications system. Following the cyberattack, Billerica decided to switch its emergency notification system, transitioning to Regroup.
The Billerica Police Department encourages all residents to register for the new platform, Regroup, here.
