ATTLEBORO — Superintendent David Sawyer, Principal Craig Levis and Career and Technical Education Director Ann Montagano are pleased to share that a team of students from Attleboro High School recently qualified and competed in the 2026 Massachusetts SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference.
From April 30 through May 2, students who belong to Attleboro High School’s chapter of SkillsUSA traveled to Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School to compete against top career and technical education students from throughout the state.
Students competed in the Medical Math and Robotics categories after qualifying through district-level competitions, where participants were required to place either first or second in order to advance to the statewide competition.
The SkillsUSA state competition brings together students from career and technical education programs to demonstrate leadership, teamwork, technical abilities, communication skills and career readiness.
“This was an outstanding opportunity for our students to showcase the skills they have developed through Attleboro High School’s career and technical education programs,” said Montagano. “We are proud of the efforts that these students put in to qualify and compete at the state level. They represented our school community so well throughout the event.”
In addition to technical competitions, the conference highlighted leadership development, professionalism and college and career preparation. Students also had opportunities to connect with peers, educators and industry professionals from across the state.
Superintendent Sawyer and Principal Levis said SkillsUSA helps prepare students for future academic and workforce opportunities, cultivating excellence, responsibility and collaboration.
“Our students demonstrated tremendous dedication and professionalism throughout this experience,” said Principal Levis. “Competing at the state level against talented students from across Massachusetts is an achievement that reflects their hard work, preparation and commitment to learning.”
“We congratulate all of the students who participated in this year’s SkillsUSA state competition,” said Superintendent Sawyer. “Their willingness to challenge themselves, compete at a high level and represent Attleboro High School on a greater stage is an accomplishment in itself. We are proud of the dedication, hard work and class that they demonstrated throughout their SkillsUSA journey.”
