44 Southeastern Regional Seniors Earn Associate Degrees Through Early College Partnership

SOUTH EASTON — The Southeastern Regional School District is proud to share that 44 graduating seniors from Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School have earned associate degrees through the Early College Program with Massasoit Community College.

This achievement reflects years of hard work and dedication from students who managed high school classes, vocational training, and college courses at the same time. When they graduate, these students will have both their high school diplomas and associate degrees, giving them a strong start for college or their careers.

“Tonight’s recognition highlights the value of both higher education and vocational learning,” said Superintendent Holly McClanan. “These students have shown that academic achievement and technical skill development can go hand in hand, making them even more prepared for success in college, careers, and life.”

Marcus Jones, Southeastern’s Early College and Dual Enrollment Coordinator, spoke about the growth he has seen in students in the program.

“In my short time in this role, I’ve had the opportunity to watch these students grow tremendously both academically and personally,” Jones said. “Their ability to challenge themselves, remain committed, and support one another throughout this process has been inspiring. I’m excited to see what they accomplish next and know they are well prepared for whatever path they choose.”

District leaders also thanked families, teachers, counselors, and staff members for helping students reach this important milestone.
